A co worker's son has issues with mental health,
domestic violence victim
can't hold down a job
paranoid
she's not sure what else is going on with him, but she cries everyday at lunch and I want to offer some help.
Thanks for any adviceMental health advice needed, can anyone please help ?
If the son is a victim of domestic violence, please encourage your friend to find the local domestic violence program closest to her child. She can call the National Domestic Violence Helpline (1-800-799-SAFE) to be connected to the closest program. They can provide advocacy and possibly some free counseling and will refer him to a mental health provider.
It is up to him if he wants to work a plan to improve his mental health and current situation, but thank you for trying to help!Mental health advice needed, can anyone please help ?
suggest her to take him to the family dr and run some tests
see if he has any deficiencies or allergies
and maybe also take him to a naturopath
better than going to a psychiatrist and taking drugs that
sometimes make you worse
the afflicted son needs cognitive behavioral therapy, the mom needs to own up to her own responsibility and get him into therapy.
counselor or therapy both can be affective
Both need to seek counseling
