Help/Advice--Shaving pubic hair?

I'm 16 and I've shaved down there a few times because it feels much better and was wondering if it will always itch or will the itching stop or reduce after i shave more frequently?

I do the normal routine.. soak in the tub, apply shaving oil and shaving cream, shave and rinse the razor, and repeat until I'm done. And afterwards I apply lotion.

But I do shave up and down because it makes it more smooth so is that the only problem that causes the itching?Help/Advice--Shaving pubic hair?
itching will be there whether u use lotion or u don't.however applying it reduces the itchingHelp/Advice--Shaving pubic hair?
Once your skin becomes used to the shaving, it should itch less. But the other factor affecting itchiness is how close you shave - the closer you shave, the more itchy it will feel, no matter how long you've been shaving. I think you'll get used to the feeling and you won't notice the itchiness so much over time.
I have never tired nair. I shaved closely once, but it itches like hell. So, I just use a hair clipper to get as close as possible without itching.
no doubt it will, why don't you try waxing. it lasts longer and it much smoother and absolute no itch if done right
I'm 15 and i do it pretty often and the itching has almost gone away.
First few times it will itch. Use a lot of shaving cream. I heard aloe vera oil/gel helps with the itching =)
I had the same problem and I stopped shaving and now use Veet hair removal spray (you can get cream too). I just bought it off the shelf at the supermarket. It leaves you smoother for longer, and you don't get nicks, infections or itching. (Sound like I'm doing an advert!)

You could also use Nair (or Nair For Men, but I've never tried it because the regular stuff works fine on pubes).

The cream or spray dissolves the hair below the surface of the skin, so when it regrows, it starts again thin and tapered, not a cut off end coming through like you get if you use a razor.

It is best to start using it when your pubes have reached stubble length after your last (and final) shave with a razor.

EDIT: No, Nair doesn't burn the skin. I can only talk from my own experiences and there was no skin reaction at all.

It does say on the box that you should dap some on your forearm and leave it for 24 hours in case you have an allergic reaction though.

If there were uncomfortable after-effects, they wouldn't be able to sell the stuff!
