Need medical help / advice!!

So i got this anti anxiety medicine called clorazpete, aka traxene 15mg to help supress my anxiety attacks that i seem to ONLY get on planes so i was wondering should i be taking this medicine days before i go on the plane which will be 8/11 or should i take it before i just board the plane?Need medical help / advice!!

First of all what are the instructions given on the bottle? Do you take it daily? Or is it just for when you fly?





Traxene is the type of benzodiazepine that stays in the body for longer periods. It normally kicks in within 2 hrs. and should last for the duration of the plane ride.





So, depending on how it is prescribed, and how many you normally take daily, your best bet is to call the pharmacist or your Dr. and ask them.
Call your local pharmacist or your doctor for a safer answer. You may even be able to find a 24-hour pharmacy like CVS Pharmacy and just call and speak to the Pharmacist.





I used to take Xanax but my dr. told me it wouldn't build up in my system and would only stay in my system for so long. Each medication works differently, even if it is for the same symptoms.

i would take it for about 3 days before you get on the plane


it is not that much, and it is not going to harm you in any way to take it for a few days. take it 3 days before your return flight as well, and hope that it helps



I hope you are taking them on the advice of the doctor.Please take them before you board the plane.It takes about 1/2 hr for the medicine to start taking effect.
