Is there a way to stop a rabbit spraying urine without getting it neutered??Rabbit help/Advice!!!?
Unfortunately, no. Rabbits are territorial animals, and spraying urine is an instinctual urge to mark an area as theirs. Neutering is really the only way to curb this behavior because it decreases the level of testosterone that leads to territorial behaviors.Rabbit help/Advice!!!?
Duck. Seriously. If the problem is that he spraying you, anyway. My rabbit sprayed me a few times before I got wise and started moving faster once he began his little ';dance';. He stopped trying to spray me.
If the problem is that he is spraying walls and such, then, no there is not much you can do. It is what the buck does. It's as natural as a dog peeing every 10 feet when you take him for a walk. Put up protection for your walls were he does it.
Neutering may not help at this point since he already has begun doing it (habit, you know?) but then if he is not your prize herd sire then I'd say go for it. It couldn't hurt.
Sounds like you are keeping it as a pet.
I keep them outside and use them for food.
They can spray all they want and it doesn't bother anything.
The dropping go into a pile with leaves and grass cuttings.
That is used in the garden for fertilizer.
Nope. Even if you litter train it, it will still spray. I'm not even sure if neutering will get rid of the problem entirely.
Once a rabbit is done wrong, it may hold a lifetime grudge.
No. It's a hormonal urge and essentially impossible to break them of once they start spraying. The only real solution is neutering.
No, unfortunately. Unless its neutered, thats all its gonna do.
what your rabbit is probually doing is marking its terortity jst like a cat would do change your rabbits routine dont let it go where it usually does hope this helped
rabbits shouldn't spay for a long period of time so if you just brought him home you should probably give him more timme to adjust other wise ask a vet tech!!!
