Trouble is, i don't like it and it is far too short. My hair used to be around elbow length and i had it cut to just below my jawline in August. It is now around shoulder length. How long do you think it will take for it to grow back? It is really bringing me down as i hate my hair now whereas before i loved it.
Help PLEASE! And is there anything i can do to make it grow faster? I know there are no super fast fixes but any advice would be muchly appreciated.Help/Advice needed badly?
'Jaw' length hair is 'really in now, but seeing that you had it cut in August and it's now December, is it around, or just below your 'collar bone' right now ? That's about 2 inches, longer, so by late Summer your hair should be just passed your shoulders, and you'll be back to where you started, probably minus an inch or so.. so not long to wait.
Have you tried putting it in a 'french pleat' or putting it in a high pony tail, and curling the ends, then bringing the side pieces down.. a bit like 'Buffy' has hers ( and ALL the guys like 'Buffy' ....!!!! Try having some really 'golden highlights, just at the ends, that will look cute.
There's nothing much that will make your hair grow faster, and there aren't any products out there that will help.
The only solution I can think of is, 'clip on hair pieces' (check out the Internet), with these all you need do is lift the hair,at the back, just above the 'ear line', (all round ear to ear) and hold the top half of your hair, whilst securing the hair piece clips.. onto the lower section of your hair..you can maybe get two or three, seperate hair pieces in each purchase, sounds complicated, but really it isn't, and it doesn't have to be the same colour, so the hair underneath, can be slightly darker, that's also, in, right now, all this gives a 'cheaper' alternative to professional hair extentions without the expensive 'price tag'.
Hope you can find the extentions I'm talking about, you'll be amazed how real they look, when attached.. and can be removed by just un-clipping.. so it's short hair to waist length hair.. instantly.. depending on what you can afford..
Or there's always a 'BIG' hat... but that's two drastic..

It really depends on your diet and how fast your hair usually grows. My hair grows really slow, but couple of years ago I bought a product from boots called perfectil to help with my skin, it is a supplement that helps to improve skin, hair and nails. while I was taking it to improve my hair I noticed my nails and hair were growing faster than usuall, It might also work for you! it cost around 拢6-8 for 28 tablets.good luck

Shoulder length sounds good. Elbow length hair is NEVER attractive, people who have this are usually narcissistic. Your hair was probably your comfort blanket and you felt it was a big part of your identity. Remember you are the same person without your long hair as you were with it, don't hide behind a feature and get some confidence!
I cut my hair alot and right now im letting it grow back. It depends on how you take care of it. my sure you go to the hair salon at least 2 times a month. And before you know it your hair is back. I had the same problem 3 moths ago when i cut my hair the same way you did now its down my back.
try extentions
just have a tiny trim every 6 weeks. nothing else i am afraid. i did the same thing. it grows slowly unfortunately. you could try extensions for a while.
Wow! Elbow length to jaw length, that was pretty drastic wasnt it! Should have had it middle of your back length, just to get used to it!
Still, too late for that, everyone suggesting extentions, have you thought about that before?
But if its taken since August to December to grow from jaw to shoulder length, it seems to be growing pretty quick anyway.
How about going back to your hairdressers and see if they could come up with a different style without taking anymore of the length off?, they have loads and loads of magazines too which may help you decide on a different style until your hair is back to its longer length.

You could get some extensions. They're expensive though. :/ I'm sorry about your hair.
if you hate it that much you could get extensions until it grows back.
You could put your hair in a pig tail or a bun! and it will just grow the same.
Try some clip in hair extensions for now.
Just keep your hair healthy, get it trimmed every couple of months and it should be back to that length soon.

Well, I definitely DO NOT advise extensions. My friend got some and they get to be a big mess after so long of having them. Besides, what if something goes wrong with the extensions and they start to look like Britney Spears' extensions?
Anyways, I recommend washing your hair with a shampoo that is called Mane %26amp; Tail.
It makes hair grow SUPER fast!
Also, get some Hair, Skin and Nail vitamins.
You will get long pretty hair faster, as well as healthier skin AND pretty natural nails!

Also, whenever you are washing your hair, massage your scalp with your fingertips applying a moderate amount of pressure because this will open up the pores and allow your hair to grow faster.
Also, use a minimal amount of conditioner. Conditioner can clog your pores where your hair grows out of and cause the growing process to slow down or even come to a hault completely do to excess build up!
